Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Cape Town
The Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Cape Town offers a comprehensive two-year training program recognized by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Upon completion of clinical training and the exit exam, fellows are eligible to register as subspecialist vascular surgeons. Additionally, fellows undertake a dissertation component and graduate with an MPhil in Vascular Surgery from UCT.

Training and Exposure
Fellows receive exposure to a wide range of vascular pathologies, including arterial, venous, and lymphatic conditions. The program encompasses various open and endovascular procedures, such as arterial bypass, endovascular stenting, and repair of aortic aneurysms. This comprehensive training prepares fellows to become proficient and specialized vascular surgeons.
